Seamless Video Integration

A major highlight of seaView 3.1 is the introduction of video support. Users can now directly view and record video streams from any connected video camera within the software.

This allows for a unified view of critical data, including video, sonar, altitude, depth, temperature, heading, pitch and roll, all presented in a single, user-friendly interface.

Synchronised Global Logging and Replay

seaView 3.1 introduces a powerful global logging and replay functionality. This feature enables users to record data from multiple sensors simultaneously into a single file.

The recorded data can then be conveniently replayed within seaView, ensuring all sensor readings remain synchronised for in-depth analysis.

Streamlined Feature Activation with License Keys

seaView 3.1 replaces license files with a more convenient license key system. Users can activate specific features, such as FMD, AHRS, or ECHOGRAM, within a sensor’s firmware by entering a simple one-time activation key.

Performance and Communication Enhancements

Beyond the headline features, seaView 3.1 boasts several behind-the-scenes improvements. The Flooded Member Detection application benefits from performance enhancements, while overall sensor communication has been optimised for increased reliability.

Version 3.0.15 contains new features, user interface refinements and a notifications area to provide updates on the status of sensors (current and historic).

For the ISS360 sonar this update adds the ability to switch between 16 and 8 bit data – allowing faster update rates over lower baud rate connections. Hot keys have also been added allowing quick selection of specific directional sectors to scan. The ability to record the Attitude data (Pitch and Roll) independently to the sonar data has also been added.

Update rates within seaView for the individual sensor readings can now be adjusted (Altitude, Pressure, AHRS etc) allowing optimisation of available telemetry bandwidth.

Other general updates include the ability to automatically save screenshots at user defined intervals and improved support for multiple sensors over a single RS485 bus.

A newly developed version of Impact Subsea’s seaView software has been released and made available for download.

seaView V2 allows the viewing and logging of data together with configuration and calibration of the Impact Subsea ISS360 Sonar.

In this latest version of the software, new magnetic heading calibration capabilities have been added, along with a number of upgrades to the sonar user interface.  Automatic detection of any sonar connected to the software has also been enabled, removing the requirement for the user to manually configure communication ports, baud rates etc.

seaView V2 is based on an entirely new platform when compared to its predecessor.  This provides a very quick and dynamic user interface for the user and a strong software platform to build on for years to come.

Commenting on the latest release, Alastair Mclennan-Murray, Technical Director stated ‘seaView is a core part of the Impact Subsea ROV & AUV sensor solution offering. seaView V2 has been released initially with support for the ISS360 Sonar; however in time we will be adding all other Impact Subsea sensors to this new software package’.

The latest iteration of the seaView software enables new features and improvements to Impact Subea’s core sensor family.  The software also contains updated details of the available output strings from each sensor.

seaView Hydro Survey has been released – providing an easy to use and cost effective hydrographic survey solution.

The Hydro Survey application operates with the Impact Subsea ISA500 – using the unit as a single beam echo-sounder.  Each range reading is synchronised with a GPS input, allowing data to be logged and plotted in real-time on screen.

seaView Hydro-Survey is intended to provide a highly cost effective method of conducting basic underwater surveys using the ISA500.  In a step away from industry norm, the seaView Hydro Survey software is being provided free of charge to industry.

Alastair Mclennan-Murray, Technical Director, commented ‘the long range, high accuracy capability of the ISA500 unit makes it an excellent unit for basic hydro-graphic survey purposes. Building on the capabilities already offered in the seaView software package, we wanted to provide a capability to conduct basic hydrographic surveys quickly and easily’.

Aimed at basic hydrographic survey applications, such as sediment monitoring in ports and harbours, the seaView Hydro Survey app provides a new generation of easy to use hydrographic software.

seaView allows operation, configuration, viewing and logging of data from all Impact Subsea sensors.  This includes the ISA500, ISA500-L & ISD4000.  Importantly, seaView has also been developed to support future sensors from Impact Subsea.

A single sensor can be run in seaView, or multiple sensors together.  This enables Depth, Altitude, Heading, Pitch, Roll & Temperature to all be displayed in a single user friendly interface.
