The ISP1 has been designed to provide a highly cost-effective subsea housing for a variety of underwater projects and applications.

The view port is ideal for use with a camera, subsea display or to facilitate a wireless data link from the internal components to the outside world.

Lightweight and of a small diameter ensures that the housing is suitable for a large variety of subsea applications, including installation to a ROV.  Within the housing, room as been provided for inclusion of electronics and/or batteries.

Commenting on the new product, Alastair Mclennan-Murray said ‘The ISP1 is the first off the shelf housing to be offered by Impact Subsea.  A number of ISA500 & ISD4000 users build these products into a system – the ISP1 allows users to design their own system in a more cost effective way.  A pre-designed housing not only saves time in design, but reduces risk in a new system design by using a tried and tested housing’.

seaView allows operation, configuration, viewing and logging of data from all Impact Subsea sensors.  This includes the ISA500, ISA500-L & ISD4000.  Importantly, seaView has also been developed to support future sensors from Impact Subsea.

A single sensor can be run in seaView, or multiple sensors together.  This enables Depth, Altitude, Heading, Pitch, Roll & Temperature to all be displayed in a single user friendly interface.

With a 0.01% Full Scale Depth measurement accuracy combined with a Temperature measurement accuracy of 0.01°C the ISD4000 is at the forefront of Depth and Temperature measurement technology.

The ISD4000 can also be supplied with an integrated HMRU. Providing the user with Heading, Pitch and Roll values.

Designed to be a ideal sensor for ROV & AUV underwater applications, the ISD4000 offers a significant degree of capability, in a small form factor, at a very cost effective price.

At only 8cm (3.1”) long, 4.5cm (1.8”) wide and weighing just 0.5kg (1.10lb) in air makes theISD4000 a highly compact unit. This form factor is ideal for applications where space and weight are critical considerations. Using under 40mA of power at 24VDC offers an exceptionally low power consumption from a sensor with such capability – ideal for AUV or battery powered applications.

Housed in a robust titanium housing, complete with industry standard connector, ensures that the ISD4000 is not only at the forefront of technology, but built to withstand the harshest of underwater environments.

The ISD4000 compliments Impact Subsea’s ISA500. Combined, the pair provide the user with Altitude, Depth, Temperature, Heading, Pitch & Roll. All values can be displayed in a single easy to use software interface or output to a third party system.

The ISA500-L is the lite version of the ISA500, providing a highly cost effective solution for underwater Altitude and Distance measurement applications.

The ISA500-L has been designed to be as flexible as possible to meet individual requirements.  Available with various connector options ensures that physical connection to any system is as simple as possible.

Further, the unit is provided with an in-field firmware update feature to add new output strings and capability.  This ensures that the unit can be easily adapted to suit any underwater altitude or distance measurement application.

Should a user ever find that they require Heading, Pitch and Roll as well, the unit can be upgraded to a full ISA500 to include these features.

With 120 meter (394 feet) altitude range measurement capability, the ISA500 is the longest range 500kHz altimeter available today. Making use of a composite transducer and advanced digital acoustic engine, the ISA500 is able to achieve significantly long range while providing sub-millimetre measurement accuracy.

In addition to altitude, the ISA500 also provides heading, pitch and roll readings – ideal for basic AUV/ROV navigation or to monitor underwater equipment deployment.

Under 11cm (4.3”) in length, 4.5cm (1.8”) width and weighing just 0.325kg in water (0.72lbs)makes the ISA500 a highly compact unit. This form factor is ideal for applications where space and weight are critical considerations. Using under 60mA of power at 24VDC makes the ISA500 one of the most power efficient units available to date – ideal for AUV or long term monitoring deployments.

The integrated pitch and roll sensor can be used to automatically compensate for pitch, roll and altimeter misalignment to provide consistent true altitude readings – a first in altitude measurement technology.
